A new UK study has revealed that men lose interest in shopping within just 26 minutes, especially when accompanying a wife or girlfriend. In contrast, women stay engaged for around two hours, often because they’re still searching for the right item.

The research, commissioned by Quidco.com, surveyed 2,000 Britons and found some amusing yet relatable insights into shopping behaviors.

Key reasons men get fed up during shopping trips:

• Long decision-making by their partners
• Hunger or thirst
• Crowded stores
• Missing a TV show or sports match

In fact:

• 1 in 4 men have left their partner mid-trip and gone home alone
• 8 in 10 men find shopping with their partner boring
• 45% avoid it altogether

🧍 What Do Men Do When Bored?

When boredom strikes, men often:

• Wander to different parts of the store (48%)
• Visit a completely different shop (33%)
• Sit outside waiting (1 in 3)
• Even admit to admiring other women to pass time (20%)

Nearly half of couples argue during shopping trips due to this frustration.

Interestingly, 58% of men said they’d tolerate shopping better if promised a treat at the end whether that’s a meal, coffee, or maybe some “personal time.”
