Turns out Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are also the class clowns.
Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans aka Thor and Captain America weren’t allowed to do press interviews together during the Avengers: Endgame promo tour. Why? Because they couldn’t stop acting like two kids in detention.
“With Chris Evans, I have a real brotherly bond,” Hemsworth told Variety. “I think they wouldn’t pair us up on this press tour, because we just spend the whole time screwing around and none of it is on topic.”
Evans didn’t deny it either. In fact, he doubled down:
“Which is such bullst! We had too much fun together, and truly like kids in school, we were separated because we weren’t getting st done.”
The MCU’s Ultimate Bromance
Over the years, Hemsworth and Evans became fan-favorites not just for their superhero roles, but also for their hilarious off-screen chemistry. Their banter and brotherly energy made them a natural duo but maybe too natural.
According to Marvel’s PR team, the pair was so entertaining that their interviews would spiral into jokes, impersonations, and complete chaos, leaving very little room for actual promotion.
A Buddy Comedy in the Making?
Evans even pitched a post-MCU idea that fans would 100% line up to see:
“I would love to do one of those ‘80s buddy comedies, where we could shed the characters we are known for.”
Imagine it now: Thor and Cap go full Lethal Weapon. Studio execs, are you listening?
Not Just Co-Stars, But Real-Life Friends
Hemsworth reflected on the deep friendships he’s formed with fellow Avengers:
“There’s a mentor element with Downey. There’s an incredible friendship with Scarlett, and Renner, and Ruffalo.”
While his future as Thor is still uncertain, Hemsworth says he’s open to returning:
“I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go. But I’ll use that in other places and other characters if it’s the end here.”
Final Thought: The Avengers Were Real And So Is Their Friendship
Behind the suits and CGI battles, Avengers: Endgame wasn’t just a box-office juggernaut it was the culmination of real relationships. And while Marvel kept Chris x Chris apart on press tours, nothing can stop the internet from loving this bromance of Asgardian proportions.
