In what might be the most unexpected birth story of the year, a Tennessee doctor dressed as The Joker helped deliver a baby and yes, he was still in full costume.

The plan was to get a few laughs from patients and colleagues. What he didnโ€™t expect? Helping a woman give birth while looking like Gothamโ€™s most wanted.

Brittany Selph wasnโ€™t due until the following Sunday. But on Halloween morning, her water unexpectedly broke. Despite the surprise, she and her husband Justin Selph didnโ€™t rush to the hospital right away they made sure their two kids, Brenden and McKinley, got to enjoy their Halloween parties first.

By 12:30 PM, they arrived at the hospital and were greeted byโ€ฆ the Joker.

โ€œMy wife, being the open-minded woman she is, thought it would be hilarious to have such a unique delivery.โ€

Brittany went into labor while Dr. Locus, still in costume, delivered their healthy baby girl Oaklyn right on Halloween.
