Texas Mom Sets Breastmilk Donation World Record

Alyse Ogletree, a 36-year-old mom from Texas, has once again made history and melted hearts by donating an incredible 2,645.58 litres of breastmilk to babies in need.

This remarkable feat breaks her own previous Guinness World Record of 1,569.79 litres. All her donations went to the Mothers’ Milk Bank in North Texas, where one litre of breastmilk can nourish up to 11 premature newborns. By her estimate, nearly 350,000 infants have benefited from her generosity.

“I have a big heart,” Ogletree told Guinness World Records. “I can’t give away money to good causes over and over because I have my own family to support but I can give this.”

How It Started 💡

Ogletree discovered her extraordinary milk supply after giving birth to her first child, Kyle, now 14. Back in 2010, while Kyle was still in the hospital, she filled the nurses’ freezer with extra milk. A nurse then asked if she was donating, introducing her to the world of milk banks.

Since then, she has had two more children Kage (12) and Kory (7) and has also donated milk after becoming a surrogate mother.

Inspiring Other Moms 🌸

Ogletree says she hopes to inspire more women to donate. She attributes her high production to staying well-hydrated, eating a balanced diet, and keeping a consistent pumping routine not to any medical condition.

“It’s one of the best feelings in the world,” she said. “Knowing you’re helping another mom and baby when they need it most.”
