Just days before the kickoff of Tomorrowland 2025, a major fire broke out on the festival’s iconic main stage throwing this year’s event into uncertainty.
📍 The fire happened on July 16 in Boom, Belgium, where stage construction was still underway. Photos and videos shared online showed the stage engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke rising over the site.
A Narnia-Inspired Stage in Ruins
This year’s main stage was themed around The White Witch’s castle from The Chronicles of Narnia, complete with icy towers and a massive frozen lion statue.
But now, the elaborate set has been reduced to charred wreckage, just two days before fans were expected to flood the venue for Weekend 1 on July 18.
What Caused the Fire?
So far, organizers haven’t released an official statement.
However, some fans believe the blaze may have started during a pyrotechnics test.
“No statement from the festival yet, but this most likely happened due to pyrotechnics,” one user speculated online.

Fans Are Shocked and Worried
The Tomorrowland community is heartbroken. While some fans are hopeful the show will go on, others are comparing the disaster to the infamous Fyre Festival.
Thousands of attendees are now waiting anxiously to hear whether the event will proceed and if the stage can be rebuilt in time.
Will Tomorrowland 2025 Still Happen?
Right now, it’s unclear how much damage was done or how it will impact the performances. With big-name artists like Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, and Charlotte de Witte on the lineup, many are hoping for a quick recovery.
Organizers are expected to release a statement soon.
Tomorrowland is known for creating dreamlike experiences. Whether the magic can still happen this year after such a setback remains to be seen.
Stay tuned for updates. 💔🔥
